Free standing sculptures and wall columns are my most recent explorations.
The concept for these pieces came on a life-changing/inspiration saving trip to Africa in 2016.
I think of these pieces as 3 dimensional paintings and as architectural elements.
Materials are encaustic paint over plastered wood or acrylic on wood. Some pieces incorporate found objects.
Most designs can be made to be freestanding on bases and all can be sold individually or in groups.
These pieces are made to order so particular sizes and colors can be commissioned.
